Class Description

Balance & Strength for Body & Soul

Beginners Hatha Yoga: A basic yoga introduction emphasizing body alignment, breathing, deep stretching & relaxation, using props.
Mixed Hatha Yoga:  A combination of relaxing and vigorous

yoga postures in a moderately paced class.
Power Vinyasa Yoga:  A vigorous, detoxifying and flowing

series of postures based on the Ashtanga Primary Series format.  This

is an advanced class, yoga experience and familiarity is recommended.

Yoga for Kidz:  A fun basic yoga introduction for children.  Yoga improves concentration, focus, socialization and self esteem in children. Class sessions are divided into age groups from 4 - 8

and 9 - 13 years old.

Classical Pilates is a matwork repertoire using specific body postures in a conscious, focused and willful manner, executed with precision and grace.
There is an emphasis on deep breathing and mental concentration to train and build a healthy mind, body and respiratory system.
Pilates will strengthen your core (abs) by teaching you to
connect your mind with your body; an important element
for physical exercise. A strong core will improve your posture and strengthen your back and torso.  Students must complete an initial Introduction Class to get familiar with the poses and muscle control techniques before beginning the regular class routine. 

All fitness levels are welcome!

Cardio Bootcamp is a high energy interval training class designed

to strengthen and tone your entire body.  Using intervals of

aerobics, optional handweights and muscular conditioning,

prepare to engage all your major muscle groups and work up a

great detoxifying sweat!  This is a multi level class, based on

your personal fitness level and needs.  Cardio will improve your

energy, strength and endurance while burning calories.

All fitness levels are welcome!

All Class Sessions run for 4 weeks, beginning the first full week of each month.

Each Class is $40 per session. 

*If there are 5 weeks in the month, Class Sessions are for 5 weeks and the cost is $50.

SMART Class is only $4.00/class   Lunch Time Fitness Classes are only $5.00/class

ExamplePilates #4 Class, every Tuesday from 1 - 2 p.m. for 4 weeks is 1 Class Session.

VON and Zenergy Fitness Studio have made a SMART connection.
The two forces have joined together to offer Adults 55+ an opportunity to start 2010 on the right foot.  SMART is the result of a partnership between the Canadian Centre for Activity & Aging, UWO and VON Canada. Fitness classes are specifically designed to meet some of the challenges and medical conditions related to aging and an inactive lifestyle - arthritis, diabetes, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, etc.  They alsofocus on fall prevention and maintaining an active and independent lifestyle.
The 60 minute class starts with a warm-up followed by a cardiovascular workout.  Then comes a series of exercises for strength and toning.  Balance and stretching/relaxation round out the routine.

Class For Seniors

The Zumba program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away.  You'll achieve long-term benefits in an exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!   The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. 

No experience is necessary and all fitness levels are welcome!

The No Impact Cardio Classes focuses on individuals with restrictions and limitations related to obesity, arthritis, inactive lifestyle and joint issue. This Interval Training class will strengthen and tone your entire body, using intervals of seated stability ball aerobics, light hand weights, resistance bands and muscular conditioning; engaging all your major muscle groups and work up a great calorie burning sweat!!  This is a multi level class, based on your personal fitness level and needs.
